Growsari has started offering their store owners “cash out” services that they can offer to their end customers. The vision is that anyone should be able to go to Sari Sari Store and receive a remittance or withdraw cash from an e-wallet. Stores essentially become cash out points or ATMs in their communities.
However, the problem faced since launch is that sari sari stores that do these “cash out” services do not always have enough cash on hand. Imagine Growsari tells an end customer to go to a store to receive their P5000 remittance, but when they get there, the store only has P2000 available to give.
It’s a poor experience for the end customer and the store loses out on the chance of earning a commission from the transaction.
As a solution, Growsari developed a method to “infuse” cash into stores.
Operationally, cash can be given to a store whenever a delivery truck (shipper) is dropping off orders to other stores nearby.
For this to work, Growsari needs to know how much cash a store has on hand at the start of the day, and if low on cash, they’d route shippers to them.
